WHAT:
The acclaimed one-of-a-kind Red Dress Collection exhibit is coming to Houston. This is one of ten stops on The Heart Truth’s Road Show, a program of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, presented by Diet Coke that will travel nationwide to promote heart health among women, and offer free heart health screenings and educational information on heart disease.

The Red Dress Collection includes red dresses worn on the runway by some of the world’s most recognized stars including: Kelly Ripa, Christie Brinkley, LeAnn Rimes, Angela Bassett, Fergie and Rachael Ray, among others. What’s more, people can view the 2008 signature Marc Jacob’s red dress which was just worn at New York Fashion Week on February 1, 2008 by supermodel Heidi Klum.

Free Heart Health Screenings: To encourage women to learn more about their heart health, Diet Coke and The Heart Truth will offer free body mass index (BMI), glucose, cholesterol and blood pressure screenings. Women will also receive information on how they can take action to prevent and control their risk factors.

WHEN:
Date: April 11 - 13, 2008
Time: Friday 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

WHERE:
The Galleria, 5085 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX

WHY:
The Heart Truth is a national awareness campaign created by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, part of the National Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services[1"> that warns women of their number one health risk: heart disease. One in four women dies from heart disease, making it the #1 killer of American women, yet too many women fail to make the connection between risk factors and their personal risk of developing heart disease.
